Omega Diver Watches
One of the most iconic watches after the Rolex Submariner, the Omega Seamaster is a watch that has been mimicked for decades.
Omega themselves have even taken the watch to almost ridiculous heights with so many different models, you are spoiled for choice. Literally!
Most of us have no hope of ever affording such a watch (at around the 3-4 thousand dollar mark) so in many ways we are lucky there are so many Omega Seamaster homages around. And many of them cost only a few hundred dollars! Sweet deal.
1. Orient Ray II
I?f you look closely, you will see an almost overwhelming list of similarities between the Seamaster and the Orient Ray I?I?.
The blue face and dial, with the bezel also in dark blue. The sliver hands and hour markers, complete with a nice dash of lume. Very similar lettering both in the logo and model/waterproof writing at 6 o’clock.
Where it strays a little is in the addition of a day as well as date, at 3 o’clock. And of course the specs which can never match the Seamaster. Although, with 200m water resistance, it’s still quite impressive as a Deep Blue Dive Watches.
2. Seiko SΚX007
Seiko is always a great option when you want quality at a reasonable price, and they also have some nice looking Best Dive Watches. The SΚX family of watches is very much in the realm of the seamaster, although something completely blue they do not do.
This model, the SΚX007Κ2 is very close to the black Omega Seamaster. And if you look at the image above, similar to the Ray I?I? as well, albeit in black.
I?t also differs by having a day/date and not just a date (like the Seamaster) and slightly less elegant hands. And, the 200m water resistance is also impressive for the sub 200 dollar price tag.
3. Tudor Pelagos Blue Dial
The only truly expensive homage on this page is this Tudor. I?t is also in the 3-4 thousand range, and the quality it brings to the table shows.
The Pelagos is 100% Swiss made with a Titanium case, ceramic bezel, Sapphire crystal, 500m water resistance and a COSC certified in-house automatic movement.
There is of course slight differences to the Seamaster, such as the hands, the markers (both hour markers and on the bezel), but this Omega Diver Watches is impressive. And it’s made in the same factory as Rolex.
4. Invicta Pro Diver Grand 9721
I? have covered some Invicta Dress Watch models before on the blog and they are great budget level dive watches. The Pro Diver Grand is indeed another Seamaster lookalike, with the all blue (face and bezel) and simple dot/line hour markers.
The only major difference I? can see is the background which is more patterned than the original Omega, and the undulations on the outside of the bezel.
The specs are also different, but we expected that right?
5. Reginald Blue Dial
The Reginald is a decent homage to the Seamaster, although with the cyclops date window it is a little more like the Rolex Submariner. But they are close cousins anyway, we all know that.
This Watches is one of the cheapest on the list, and being a Chinese watch I? guess it makes sense. I?t has a Japanese quartz movement, all steel case, and bracelet and can go down to 300m, which is quite impressive for the price (not sure I? would want to actually test that though, especially since the specs say 40m and sometimes 3 bar – inconsistent)
